Why are Women Attracted to Jerks?

I must preface this post by saying that I may seem to be stereotyping women, but that is not my intention. I fully understand that not all women fall into this category. It’s just easier for me to write this way.

Why are women attracted to guys who treat them like garbage? This is a question I have literally pondered for years and I still don’t have a good answer. Why is it that women will choose to devote their lives to guys who consistently attack their self-esteem by calling them fat, stupid, and many other degrading things? It’s as if women love being demeaned. I mean, why would someone put up with that kind of abuse on a day-to-day basis? I see it all the time. Girl meets guy; girl dates guy; guy begins to treat girl like shit; girl falls hopelessly in love with guy. I can’t wrap my mind around it. It has been my experience that many times these guys don’t have much going for them either: no stable job, car, usually drinks heavily, etc. These attributes only seem to attract women all the more. What’s the deal? Why is this the case? I have asked many women this question and still haven’t gotten a satisfactory answer. Nonetheless, the phenomenon is real: Women are attracted to assholes.

It’s ironic that the answer to one of the most commonly asked questions by women is easily answered through their own desires: Why are men assholes? The short answer: they asked for it. Since women are attracted to assholes, it makes sense that men would accommodate for their needs. After all, men want to get laid. If a man fails at this through treating women with dignity and respect, then he will most likely change his approach so that he can achieve his goal. It can all be explained like this: Girls in their early to mid 20s are attracted to assholes. Thus, all of the “asshole guys” score big with the women at this age. Meanwhile, the “nice guys” who treat women with respect are losing out on women because they aren’t willing to become assholes. Eventually, the nice guys will become frustrated and change their approach and thus become assholes. By this time the girls who were in their mid 20s are now in their late 20s and approaching their early 30s. Most of them have wised up and realized that they don’t want to be with an asshole, but it’s too late since all the nice guys have become assholes in order to accommodate the demand. If they weren’t smart enough to snatch up a nice guy when they were younger, then now their options consist of the assholes who used to be nice guys. This is why single women perceive all men to be assholes. They literally get what they asked for. That’s why I find it ironic that women complain about the whole issue.

This helps to explain why some women think all men are assholes, but it doesn’t explain why women seem to love being treated like shit. If anyone has a theory on this, I would love to hear it.

Dumbing Down of America

The intentional dumbing down of our country is no secret to those who pay close attention. No one makes this phenomenon more apparent than Miss Teen South Carolina 2007. Although this is a very serious subject, I feel life needs a little humor every now and then. This chick is awesome.

Why Grow a Mustache?

What does a well-kept mustache say about a man? What doesn’t it way about a man? There are those who have goatees, sideburns, or even full-fledged beards. All are just weak attempts to compete with those who have the capability of growing and maintaining a well-groomed mustache. A distinct mustache will turn heads and command respect. Take Tom Selleck for example (one of the most recognizable stashes in the history of stashes). Just Google his name and you will immediately see what I’m talking about. The caterpillar on that man’s upper lip just says, “BOOM! Yep, I’m a mustache. You WILL give me your attention.” Selleck has a mustache that defines him as a man (not the other way around). The mustache is the most important part of Tom Selleck; without it, he is nothing. Just another average joe trying to survive in the world. However, Tom Selleck combined with that perfectly trimmed “power stash” is something far different. He becomes the object of all women’s desires. Women want him, and men want to be him. He has the upper hand in all situations. Selleck’s power stash makes dudes say, “I want that guy on my side.” He becomes a true winner in every sense of the word. Selleck’s stash allows him to will things to happen. It is the ultimate symbol of masculinity. Think about it, how many dudes with good mustaches are unsuccessful. The answer: ZERO. Considering all of this,why not grow a mustache?
